About Durham University Hatfield Lioness Scholarship 2025

Hatfield College seeks to award the Lioness Scholarship to a talented individual who possesses the academic excellence and personal qualities necessary to excel in a postgraduate program. The primary goal of the scholarship is to empower a female student from a developing country with limited access to higher education, providing her with the opportunity to pursue postgraduate studies at Durham University.

The Scholarship was established in 2018 to commemorate 30 years of women students at Hatfield College, and is generously supported by alumni, friends of the College, and other donors who share the scholarship’s vision.

Requirements For Hatfield Lioness Scholarship 2025

To be eligible for the 2025 Durham University Hatfield Lioness Scholarship;

1. Secure an unconditional offer for a master’s program at Durham University by June 2025.
2. Not receive any other scholarship funding for postgraduate studies.
3. Be a female from a developing country (as listed on the application page).

Additional requirements:

• Hold a relevant honors degree meeting the Master’s course admission standards.
• Meet all course entry requirements, including English language proficiency.
• Not possess a prior Master’s degree.
• Demonstrate financial need, unable to afford Master’s studies in the UK without support.
