Open Call for Application – American postdoctoral research scholar in agricultural robotics at North Carolina State University. Application is open for a full-time postdoctoral research associate position working with Dr. Lirong Xiang in the field of automation and robotics in agricultural applications, the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering at North Carolina State University is accepting applications.

The initial appointment will be for a year, but there is a chance it might be extended.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND OBLIGATIONS:

The chosen applicant will conduct research, create excellent publications, supervise graduate and undergraduate students, manage research and extension teams, and take part in grant writing.

PREFERENCES AND REQUIREMENTS:

Department-specific competencies, The chosen applicant is anticipated to hold a Ph.D. in agricultural engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering, mechanical engineering, or a closely related field, or to have completed all Ph.D. requirements in those fields.

A proven track record in at least one of the following disciplines is required for the ideal applicant: robotic control and manipulation, mechanical design, electrical design, computer vision, and/or machine learning.

Years of Experience, Skills, Education, and Training are Preferable. Strong communication abilities in both writing and speaking and programming are sought.
